|
SYSTEM 4.26 - DSP 1.22 - HARDWARE 1.08 -BOOT 1.18- MT-Net 1.15-
ISDN: 4.50 (MIDAS), 1.02 (IMD4)
Released 14/07/2008
|
| Bugfixes: |
- Checksum on AES/EBU Output was disabled.
|
|
|
|
SYSTEM 4.25 - DSP 1.22 - HARDWARE 1.08 -BOOT 1.18- MT-Net 1.15-
ISDN: 4.50 (MIDAS), 1.02 (IMD4)
Released 03/08/2007
|
| New feature: |
- Added predialing functions. This functions can add a leading number to the ISDN number on outgoing calls, for example a '0' when using a PBX when dialing to a number which is outside of the PBX. With Euro ISDN protocol the leading zeros of the area code for incoming calls are missing. With this function the unit can automatically add for example a '0' for national calls and '00' for international calls.
|
| Bugfixes: |
- The size of the system setup was reported incorrectly on the remote interface.
- New 4SB ADPCM decoder because there was sometimes noise on the right output.
- With bitrate set to AUTO in X.21 mode it was possible that a change of the bitrate results in an invalid combination of algorithm, bitrate and userdata and the encoder has stopped sending data.
|
|
|
|
SYSTEM 4.24 - DSP 1.21 - HARDWARE 1.08 -BOOT 1.18- MT-Net 1.14-
ISDN: 4.50 (MIDAS), 1.00 (IMD4)
Released 12/2004
|
| New feature: |
- Quality of Service (QoS) for IP connections according to RFC1349 and RFC2474. These are identifications in the IP data stream for information on the priority of data. This allows for the higher priority of audio data should all routers on the transmission route be configured accordingly.
- Bi-directional UDP connections are now possible. Here both units must establish a connection in the TRANSMIT setting.
- The CON and DIS signals on the alarm control port can be used together with the switching signals to establish a connection. The entry SYSTEM SETUP -> INTERFACES -> ALARM SIGNALS must therefore no longer be set to BACKUP in order to establish a connection using switching signals on the alarm control port. The BACKUP SETTINGS menu can now be accessed at any time and the switching signals have to be set only here.
|
| Improvement: |
- All menu entries with EXIT/STORE in the system setup have been replaced with STORE & EXIT. Only when STORE is displayed, will the settings be saved.
- In the OPTICODEC AUDIO DATA ENCODER menu for ALGORITHMS, TEL has been replaced by G.711. This corresponds with the keypad. TEL has also been replaced by a telephone symbol in the numbers list. The TEL abbreviation remains for the VP-PRO.
- The menu for level settings can now be exited using the hang-up button, the values which had been previously set are hereby recovered.
- The Ethernet interface has been configured to full-duplex instead of half-duplex.
|
| Bugfixes: |
- During the Autostart of an IP connection, it was possible that the Accept Configuration was utilised instead of the desired configuration.
- If MSN-Check had been activated, the configuration of Accept xxx-Calls was ignored for incoming calls with the correct MSN.
- Background noises may have been heard on the analog output of newer OPTICODECs (from about mid 2004) when a connection did not exist. This was particularly evident during unit boot up and the establishment of a connection.
- If the DIS signal had been activated, this would be switched on at the end of a network connection but no longer switched off.
- The unit would occasionally no longer react to status queries during remote control over IP.
- Remote disconnection was not possible during the establishment of a network connection.

SYSTEM 4.22 - DSP 1.21 - HARDWARE 1.07 -BOOT 1.18- MT-Net 1.12-
ISDN: 4.50 (MIDAS), 1.00 (IMD4)
Released 12/2003
|
| New feature: |
- Reset Configuration can be called up via the remote software.
- A redial feature for IP audio connections has been implemented.
- The parameters check for Accept Configuration has been improved. Now any ISDN sync or algorithm can be set. Previously, first the ISDN sync had to be set before another algorithm could be selected.
|
| Improvement: |
- Certain ISDN protocols have been renamed (ETSI -> Euro (DSS1), NTT Japan -> Japan (NTT) and France VN3 -> France (VN3).
- A DIS remote command can now be utilised to disconnect also X.21 and IP connections, as well as to disconnect codec loops.
- The delay of the MPEG connections via ISDN has been somewhat shortened (by approx. 20 to 30 ms).
|
| Bugfixes: |
- Connections from a Scoopy with 4SB ADPCM to an OPTICODEC 7400/VP-PRO in the AUTO mode were not functionable.
- Audio connections via IP were sporadically disconnected by the unit itself.
- The problem of updating the MT-NET module in the latest generation OPTICODECS has now been solved with V4.22.

SYSTEM 4.21 - DSP 1.18 - HARDWARE 1.07 -BOOT 1.18- MT-Net 1.12-
ISDN: 4.50 (MIDAS), 1.00 (IMD4)
Released 09/2003
|
| New feature: |
- Should the ISDN number of a current connection be listed in the number list of the unit, the short name instead of the ISDN number of this entry will be indicated below the level display. The ISDN number is displayed behind the short name in brackets.
- The SPID number status is displayed continuously using symbols which are situated on the bottom right hand side of the main menu, similarly to the CTAXI.
- When entering ISDN numbers, the sub-address is now separated from the number using a dot. Asterix (*) and hash (#) can now be used within the ISDN number as normal. These special characters are selected using the QuickDial button.
- The backlight of the display can now be configured so that it only goes on during a connection. The backlight also goes on when the keypad is operated and stays on when in the number list and SystemSetup. In the main menu the backlight will go out after a short period.
- An autostart function has been implemented. When AUTOCON has been entered as the shortname under position 96 of the numbers list, a connection is established automatically after power up, according to the parameters set up for this entry. Either an X.21, ISDN or network connection is possible.
- A $ symbol appears in the first line should an active ISDN connection exist. In Germany this symbol is overwritten by a connection charges display, should the ISDN line be configured accordingly.
|
| Improvement: |
- For units with only a network (and no ISDN) board, the initialising process after power up has been considerably shortened.
- When establishing an audio connection over a network, the screen is now the same as that of an ISDN connection. The error messages displayed when a connection can not be established have now been adapted to the ISDN error messages.
- The remote control ENTRY parameters not supported by the unit (for e.g. network specific settings when a network board is not installed) are indicated by the message “NOT SUPPORTED”. Previously only the messages “OK” or “ERROR” appeared, depending on the parameter.
- It is now verified whether the network module has been installed in the third slot. If found in another slot, an error message is displayed.
- The unit returns directly to the main menu after an item has been called up from „Base Configuration“ in the System Setup. It is therefore no longer necessary after “Reset Configuration“ or „Delete Database“ to return to the main menu over several menu levels.
- Compatibility during (audio) network connections between a xx-PRO / Opticodec and PC have been improved.
|
|
Bugfixes:
|
- When a fourth or sixth ISDN number is not specified at 256 kbps or 384 kbps this now no longer leads to an error. The third or fifth number is utilised once again, instead.
- The VP-PRO/OC7400 was not able to dial if installed with only a network (and no ISDN) board. This problem has been eliminated.
- Telephone mode with Japanese ISDN protocol now uses uLaw coding. Previously aLaw was used which meant that the telephone mode was not functionable in Japan.
- The problem during initialisation of the internal serial interfaces has been eliminated. This problem may have resulted in the ISDN and/or NET modules not being detected during power up of a unit.

Released 10/2002
|
| Improvement: |
- Minimum delay of 4SB APCM via IP reduced to 30 ms
|
Bugfixes:
|
- QuickDial was only possible for entries 1 to 9.
- If a digital input was selected and there was no input signal, the unit was not able to synchronize the connection.
- In units with TCP/IP the display was cleared sporadically.
|
|

|
|
|
|
SYSTEM 4.19 - DSP 1.15 - HARDWARE 1.07 - MT-Net 1.10
Released 06/2002
|
|
New feature:
|
- Delays in ISDN transmission has been reduced for telephone and G.722 SRT.
- Drastic reductions of approximately 130 ms! have been achieved for MPEG.
- Remote control now functions via WAN and not only within a local network.
- 4SB ADPCM mono via ISDN and IP (activation code needed)
- X.21 backup (activation code needed)
- The use of activation codes is new. The 4SB ADPCM and X.21 backup features can be accessed after entering an activation code. This code is related to the serial number of a unit and can be used only by the respective units.
- The default configuration of a unit by using "Reset Configuration" is a new feature in the SYSTEM SETUP.
- Telephone uLaw coding for the USA
- A port number can be included when entering an IP address. This is relevant should the partner unit be functioning on another port.
- For units without ISDN, the direct dial buttons Layer3, Musicam and 7 kHz immediately initiate an X.21 connection with the respective algorithm.
- Now also letters of the alphabet can be entered using the ten-digit keypad, a feature we already know from the CTAXI. This is useful when entering a shortname in the ISDN directory and unit names in the TCP/IP setup.
|
|
Bugfixes:
|
- When changes were made to the local IP address of the unit, the first byte of the subnet mask would be overwritten preventing the unit from operating over the network. This is no longer the case.
- SRT and H.221 could previously not be set for G.722 in the directory. This has been fixed.
